About me

CoralynxBlog is a little home on cyberspace that I can call my own. I have built and rebuild it many times, thrown all the furniture out and re-re-docrated. I admit that it hard to find the path you want to follow in life, and blogging is just that.

If I have to label my blog I would say it is a
-lifestyle and photography blog-
where I share the beauty of life with those who can appreciate it.

I began my blog many years ago to keep my friends and family up to date from where I was and how I was doing. I have worked and lived abroad in many different countries since I was seventeen. (I was born and raised in the Netherlands) Along came Facebook and the blog didn’t make a lot of sense for me anymore, although I enjoyed it so much!

When I was living in the Caribbean I started to experiment with my DSLR and launched the blog again, this time I made some improvements and learned about design and optimizing my little home so you can feel welcome here. I wasn’t just interested in sharing with my friends anymore, now everyone can see my photography and little bits and pieces of my life. (Now in Montpellier, France)

CoralynxBlog represents who I am. A girl with an eye for beauty, a bit crazy and always searching for something bigger and better.

Where do I start?

To get a good idea of what my blog is about, here are a few posts to start with.
From portrait photography, travel photography, my personal life and photo challenges.. There’s really something for everyone.

Rooftops of Arles
Travel photography.
The historic and pittoresque city in the French Provence from my point of view.

Faces of Montpellier
Portraits of people in the streets of Montpellier.

Out and about, Sète
A day trip that gave me the chance to combine travel-, landscape- and portrait photography.
My parents visiting from the Netherlands was a big, fat bonus!

“Family Portrait”
Candids and poses of my friends visiting for a weekend.
Friends and family are the best photography subjects.

Results: On the table challenge
I often challenge myself to see the world from a new perspective and push my boundaries in the world of picture snapping. In this post I took photo’s of my kitchen table throughout the week.

Bokeh for dummies (like me)
DSLR photography can be very tricky. All those buttons, numbers and functions can confuse or even discourage us. That’s why there’s an -Auto- function right? -No!
Learn in this Bokeh for dummies post how to achieve perfect shallow depth of field on Manual mode.

Monument: a photo challenge
Discover the Brooklyn Bridge through my lens.

    • Thank you for stopping by and liking so many of my posts. I am following your blog now, you have amazing photographs. I have still so much to learn. But that is why I am here, not to learn alone and keep it for myself. To learn and share with others so that those interested can feel what I feel when I am out and about with my camera.
